The X1 is supposed to go on sale when the LCI comes around which should be 2013, so expect an introduction in the fall. The X3 has confirmed the N20 will also replace the base I6 for MY2013.
I tested the N20 in X1 and 528 for what ever reason the 528 with this motor feels much better than X1. Which seems strange. The only thing I can think of is the 5 has a better chassis (F code) compared to the X1 (E code) which is at the end of it's life.
