I've noticed that my e82 and more so the e84 trim is different from what I've had on my e46/e85/e83. This trim is more textured, its not smooth. I don't know if I would describe it as dry/splotchy... maybe.

I can't remember if I just imagined it, or if I was actually told/read that the texturing was to cut down on wind noise...
