Couldn't agree with you more. I test drove a 28i that had more options and the same price as my 35i ($40,295 IIRC) but I needed that 300/300 @ crank. I'm coming from a e39 M5 and the n20 wasn't going to cut it. I'm not knocking the n20 but if you want performance in the x1, go for the 35i.
