Yeah it does seem like it. I think BMW will see the poor sales figures and change their tune.
To be fair the E84 was rather underpriced as well - is basically a 3 series AWD wagon with a slightly higher suspension and different body, yet it sold for nearly $10K less... And this in a market that values SUVs over wagons. So the price adjustment is warranted, just not to this extent.
