Australian X1 don't have inbuilt SIM so Connected Drive service option isn't available for factory fit. So, I was wondering if they could retrofit it and if BMW Apps would work with mobile data that I use for the internet (only available service in AU for X1 under Connected Drive
)
BTW, I don't think just coding will suffice. Their site states the Pre-requisites for Connected Drive are: CIC or NBT navigation system (SA609), Combox (SA6VC), AUX/USB port in the armrest (SA6FL). In certain cases, you will need to have the latest software version prior to doing this retrofit.
