Mostly for the 35i buyers, but open to any who bought an X1, if the 5 door M135 (or any F20) were available in the US, would you have still bought the X1? The M135i is available with a manual or the 8s auto and in both sDrive and xDrive.

It's about five inches shorter, nearly all of that coming out of storage behind the seats, with only about half of the space behind the seats. It's five inches lower to the ground and can be as much as 550 pounds lighter than an X1 35i. It's about an inch narrower in the inside, but has roughly the same seating space front and rear.

We bought the X1 because we were tired of the limitations of our two door 135i, might need kid space and felt the F31 was too large. But the M135i would have been more appealing to us, curious if others feel the same way.

Interestingly I have no interest in the M235i coupe or convertible coming as they're too close to the car we sold for the X1.
