Coming from a SC built 2011 X5d, I never had any issues/problems with it. While it is significantly bigger than the X1, it drove/handled surprisingly well. I fact, much better than my 2006 Infiniti FX35, which was smaller and more "car like".
Overall fit and finish of the X5 is much better than that of the X1. I got rid of the X5, and now drive a X1 35 with ultimate package and m sport. X1 is more fun to drive, and is a beast. But the X5 was no slouch...
