I've got a fused neck C3-T2) and I never use the backup camera, as I can see better using the mirrors, and keep my eyes up. I did find on my non-iDrive '13, the USB port is partially disabled. For instance, you can't plug in a iPod, but I use a flash drive set to full random, so searching for the right song is something I never do.
