Personally I only considered CPO.
First of course it means they have inspected the car enough to have the confidence in it to include a nice warranty.
Second, they can only be sold by BMW dealerships, which means the previous owner purchased/leased another BMW. You typically don't do this unless you were happy with the vehicle.
