Correct: spell check changed "repainted" to "reprinted"
I have been reading this board for a bit now.....considering the X1 as a strong possibility. I liked the notion that the company had almost three years to get it right prior to release in the USA. Seeing the various posts in reference to early problems.....phantom rattles; unintended acceleration, I am reminded of why I issued an edict to myself to never buy one of these again. I must admit I can be seduced. They are the best drivers. The early X3's, both 2.8 and 3.5 had sudden acceleration. BMW blamed it on loose misfitting floor mats. I wish that were so. Almost crashed through a gate when the X3 revved up to 4,000 rpm.....while my foot was on the brake.
I will not come back to this board as I seem to present too much discord for the enthusiasts. Just be careful, please. BMW corporate in New Jersey can be brutal to deal with. Good luck to all.
