You might be able to squeeze the H8 in the space but you won't be able to bolt it down.

Thank you so much for your reply. This is exactly what I need to know before purchase a replacement battery. I was hoping for the higher capacity H8 battery for the long haul. Oh well, will need to focus on a H7 instead.
