The upgrade just inserts into the existing Speaker outputs on the radio. There is no CAN bus or anything to worry about so I am not sure why any model of Radio would require coding for this upgrade.

I think with the pro and business nav you get the equalizer in iDrive screen if I'm not wrong and I don't think it will appear just like that..
