Oh, I can fully believe that most drivers won't use paddle shifters. But those who explicitly order them probably will.
And those who order an M-Sport line, which already requires more of the driver due to harder suspension and less understeer, are likely to be the ones taking advantage of paddle shifters too.

I can't think of a reason to have an M-Sport without them, and especially not the 35i N55 with the six-speed that has a larger rpm range per gear as well as higher torque, allowing the driver to deviate more without automatic safeguards overriding the driver's choice.
If anything, I think it should be sold with paddles by default and standard as an option.
