Hi Danitas,

Any good quality trim cleaner/refurbisher should take out those marks. I have waxed mine so the fingerprints don't mark that plastic, and yes I have noticed that it marks quite easily. I think its one of the lower quality areas on the X1.

To wax it I use Zymol Detail Wax, just rub it in with your fingers and buff off with a microfibre cloth.

I must tell you about a new product though that I came across. Stuff is called "Valet PRO Dionysus Trim Glitz " and its very very good. I used some on my Mini's plastic trim over the weekend and it really works well. Its got a light gloss finish so only really useful for shiny plastics.

To get fingerprints off plastics you may also want to try the same stuff you use to remove bugs/tar from a cars bodywork, I find it works as well.
