As BMW like every other premium wagon manufacturer cannot sell a typical wagon when the the market has migrated to the safety , security and solidity of SUV's. The 3er GT might not make it to the US especially in light with the reaction to the 5er GT which has shown it's surprising sales especially in the all important BRIC markets. Of Brazil, Russia , India and China.
When The Touring is unveiled in late Spring, We should know more.
But when the Touring goes on sale in Europe in September - M-Sport and xDrive will be available from launch.

"Imminent arrival" sounds pretty good to me! Could it be March 2012? I guess they would call it a MY2013. Wasn't there spyshots of the LCI X1 floating around? I don't recall....
