Mobil 1 turbo truck might be the best oil for where you are. You could phone them and ask for Tech. Dept. to satisfy yourself.
I believe BMW were changing over to Shell.
The Dealer I got car from was using Shell but the Dealer closer to home I Service the car at uses Castrol.
I use Castrol after talking to there Tech. People I can also use it on my old 2005 Golf TDI.
5L Container. Oddly it doesn't say Diesel on the front. Says the following from top to bottom.

FULLY SYNTHETIC
Castrols Strongest Oil
Part No.3373545. On the back, bottom R/H Corner.
Most places that sell Auto Parts have there own Coding for Products SO it is very important to make sure you see the correct Part No. on the back or wherever the Mobil/Castrol etc. Brand People tell you it is.
Sorry for long drawn out reply but have found but some say try this, some say try that etc.
It's down to you to make sure the best oil goes in your car.
