Well, strange question... You don't stall with any type of clutch which is working properly, you just get used to the play and adapt your own sync..
Do you actually have any experience at all with a standard, or would the X1 be your first shot at it ?
Anyway, it's German so it's rather firm and catches quick with a short play. Nothing different from most European cars really...
I didn't even know the 23d was available with a standard...
