I don't get why BMW can't rejig the rear space to allow for a spare tyre there if you want it. If you take our the rear flooring pieces, the battery just sits in a plastic box, so with a bit of modification of the exhaust pipe it could easily be possible ('m tempted to get in and change it myself) and stick the battery back in the engine space. You could even 1/2 sink it into the rear floor somhow I'm sure. I like the idea of the battery weight in the back, the low centre of gravity of it there, but for the sake of room for a spare it's just crazy. Fact is the company loses sales over it. I do like my runflats and the ride's great, but I'd also like to be able to tuck away my spare I bought. I'll get around to taking and posting a photo of it in the back one day. It's not too too crowded.
