I did do the throttle reset, and noticed no difference. I tried it twice according to the posted procedure, and it makes a couple of quiet mechanical sounds, but if you shut the car off and sit there, it does the same thing.
It's funny, I notice this a lot in the girlfriends Rav4, it stays in 2nd unless you come to a complete stop and sit there for a second. I don't notice it in the x1 though.
