Really tough to say unless there's an actual issue that is noticed...also different diag tools will show different codes. I have a dinky one, it shows only the basics. FWIW, seems like U0079 is pretty generic and doesn't reveal much.
Try to find a trusted mechanic that specializes in bimmers and see what they say. BTW. 185$ seems a little high for a diag. My guy does it for ~100 and change.
