About the only old thing about it is the chassis which is outstanding. Latest engine and transmission ( for the N20 anyway)and it will probably account for most of the sales. It wasn't launched until the fall of 2009 so really 2 1/2 years old. Since I already own an E92 I'm sold on the chassis, basic interior look etc. it's not like every new product from BMW is better than the previous generation. The new 528 isn't exactly winning any car comparisons. I personally think this is one of the best products BMW makes and for the money would be no 2 only behind the 328. Each generation gets bigger, heavier and less sporting (5 series, 7, X3, X5, Z4). This is a more back to basics product ( light weight and good handling) that BMW needs to have more of.
