I Was finally able to test the 15 35i m sport transferred to my CarMax location.
Results:
-NO surprises thanks to you fine forum members.
-The V. orange popped and was fantastic to look at. I could see myself with that color.
-A hint of a past leak when I peaked under the car. But the engine bay did not show evidence of recent HG oil leaks. The bay was unaltered.
-mechanically sound with a strong n55 and transmission.
-electronics all functional.
-Age related, and owner caused, cosmetic blemishes. Some not so happy about. Others are the cost of purchasing a used car.
Sadly.... it's a hard pass! the smell of cigarette smoke is a non starter. I'm very disappointed with CM for not disclosing that prior to shipping.
In the end, it was an easy decision to walk away.
Save some money. Then sit and wait.
