Yup, open diffs front and rear on the X1. Certainly no real "torque vectoring" going in.
The performance control is programming, probably involving a more rear-biased torque split and some yaw-inducing brake-based traction control in order to "reduce" understeer. In any event, the "performance control" stinks when driving at the limit. Artificial and can upset the car in odd ways. Turn it off if you head to the track.
