I bought my 2015 X1 with the most basic stereo package offered and I ordered the Alpine amplifier and speaker upgrade kit within 2 weeks of receiving my new car. Installed it myself on a Saturday morning (3-4 hours) and it's been great. Very happy with this upgrade cosidering the price tag. For < $500 it's hard to beat.
