I'm talking about the TRANSMISSION ADAPTIVES RESET, which can only take place at the dealership. Per work order:
"Reset all adaptation values to erase transmission adaptive values". It will essentially un-learn any sluggish shifting/driving characteristics, thus improving the 'tip-in' issue that much more.

Do both of the above and you're on your way to a more responsive X1. Repeating the throttle body reset every couple of weeks helps too.
