The 8sp shifts very quickly via the paddles. It's a terrific transmission. Very little delay. 6sp is slower but still not terrible...about on par with most 2008-2011 cars.
If you ordered a 35i you're getting the old 6sp, don't get your hopes up with dealer ineptitude.
