Just did this today. I bought an OEM switch from Germany and used the board and rear button. I used my original switch for the dial because it has the silver finish to it.
Super easy to get at, I used a spoon handle to gently pry the side panel away, then I just pressed the upper tabs and pulled the assembly into the dash and outward through the side panel.
The switch itself is easy to dissamble, but the button removal can be annoying. Just takes a bit of patience and a steady hand with a small screw driver to move the tabs.
