I've been disappointed with the mileage as well. Very disappointed in fact! This is the first vehicle I've ever owned that I've been unable to attain the highway rating. I haven't even hit 30 mpg with 100% highway driving. A little over 29 was the best I've managed in ideal conditions. Now that we're seeing cold temps consistently, I'm barely breaking 25 in mostly highway travel, which is exactly what my wife gets with her Q5 (EPA 20/27). Of course, my speedometer reads 4 to 5 mph too high, so I adjust my driving speed accordingly. I have calculated my mileage myself on multiple occasions and have found the car's trip computer to be remarkably accurate.

Hyundai/Kia has gotten a lot of attention for misleading mpg claims, and now Ford is under the microscope for potentially doing the same. Interesting that I have yet to read anything about BMW - even after the EPA forced them to lower the ratings on the 3-Series. Just a matter of time?
