Have about 3k miles on my x1 sdrive averaging about 25-29 mpg overall. 40% city 60% highway with some spirit driving.
Based on my experience, I figure out:
1) Eco Pro mode improves efficiency by only 0.5 to 1 mpg at most even if I use it whenever I can.
2) 50% of the time - I ride alone and get 22-30(really depend on how I drive).
40% of the time - I ride with my girlfriend and get 26-29
10% of the time - two more passengers at the back and I get only 24-26
Same driver, similar route and I am a more aggressive driver when I am driving alone. I usually drive slower when there're passengers. So if I am right, every 150 lbs human being will lower the efficiency by about 1 mpg.
3) MPG drops significantly when over 75 mph.
I am satisfied (not impressed but satisfied) with the efficiency so far. The EPA result is achievable but you have to really work hard to get that.
