I do some 2 hour drives and just would like a dash more comfort. I don't want it to be splashy like my winter setup however. I don't want the traction nanny kicking in
when I give it the beans. It may be a tall ask.

Its considered a lifted suv. Good response with a meatier sidewall to fill in the wheel well.
You can swap E9x wheel/tire combos on with spacers. The difference is we run a slightly taller tire.

I also own an E90 and this X1, and yea handling isn't the same, but its not bad.

You'll find the suspension is the same as an Xi, and you can run e90 springs/struts, but you'll need a sleeve for front struts (ours are larger diameter, I suspect same diameter as e90 m3 struts).

Paradoxical and a few others have tracked their X1s. I had mine at BIR at 110mph and it does just fine, with a bit of work it would probably outdo most E9x cars that don't have suspension done. As it sits on stock runflats/stock brakes it was a bit over 2:00 which is respectable for a stock car, just not fast.

Stock tire size E93
