Ugh. Don't get me started on nimkumpoops putting ill designed HIDs on halogen housings. I wish cops would taser these idiots. Just thinking about it makes my blood pressure rise.
Re: Oil. Mega amount of threads dedicated to engine oil. LL01 is the preferred standard. I think there's an FE variant for "Fuel Economy". If you follow a reduced OCI (as opposed to BMW's) then basically any high quality synthetic would work. Filter, I stick with BMW, MANN or MAHLE.
Re: Tuning. Lots. Again go visit the F22/F30 forums for a richer set of experience/opinions.
Tip: While it might seem like a lot of work, I find it very educational reading back-dated threads on this forum. It gives me an appreciation of owner experiences throughout the years.
