Looking at those performance figures I would say that the 2.0d is well worth the extra price. Not mentioned is the torque but I would think the difference between the two would be even greater.
We also have the Design Package here in the UK, different prices though, but I opted instead for black leather/Alu trim/sport/electric seats. Came to the about the same price.
