I'm mostly comparing to my previous tires: Goodyear Assurance Tripletread A/S, and so far the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S is a bit better though I haven't tested it in winter conditions as most of that melted away by the time I got them.
Plus we don't get much snow here. The only thing I'm worried about is a mountain pass on the way to a ski resort we like, but that's always been well maintained. I still might spring for dedicated winter tires next year
