Hmmm, mario I wouldn't actually be surprised if the 2.0d is more economical than the 1.8d. Remember the X1 is a heavy car (even the 2wds), and the 1.8d at 105kW has more work to do than the 130kW 2.0d when pulling off, even though as you said on paper the 1.8d should be more economical.
