Well unless you plan on sticking with used versions, BMW has already screwed up the platform. Starting back in 2016 the X1 has been based on a front wheel drive biased Mini platform.
The X1 we know and love is quite dead
Sadly this will probably be my last BMW, as they have completely abandoned what they were for the larger market of driving appliances.
I had been mulling over the idea of going to an M240, but BMW's electric steering is just terrible.
