The shifts in S/M are definitely quicker, but the needle doesn't appear to jump as quickly as it does in some of the youtube videos of other N55s. xhp says the needles are dampened from the factory for X1 models and there isn't really a known solution right now. I think the you tube videos that u see is what could be done if u are willing to forego smoothness for ultimate shifting speeds. You can acheive that if you get a custom tune. As far as xhp3 ots map goes, i think they are tuned for a balance of smoothness and speed.
Anyways, i love the dct paddles. They are pretty awesome!
