There are some teams in CFB that knows how to keep it going, but it's much tougher. The amount of booster money and TV access these days is leveling the playing field across more schools now. Ex: Louisville, Boise State, Utah.

Traditional powers like Miami, ND, Texas, Florida, Nebraska knows how hard it is. It comes down to the right coach and getting the 2-3 consecutive recruiting classes to turn it around. There are some teams that really struck gold with coaching transitions like FSU, Ohio State, but there are a ton of schools that couldn't get it right after a successful coach leaves.
