Herein lies the issue with the declining sales.
Sales are constating an issue with this car. There is no way they can be making money on these things when they sell so few. Yes, the price cut increased sales for a little (108 cars in 1 month), but at the time they had an inventory of 18 months I believe.
This new car is an extremely focused track weapon. It's not going to really boost sales much at all. I can't imagine the development costs that went into it and it'll translate to maybe 150 cars sold!
Total production estimate from 2014 was 989 cars. That's 82 cars per month.
In comparions, Chevy sold 37,288 Stingrays in 2014 or 3107 cars per month.
I can't help to wonder if Dodge would put together a full-blown assembly plant in order to ramp up production and drop in the Hemi from the SRT program so it'll make over 485hp and drop the price down to around $65K.
