Well, just over 8 weeks from ordering my new X1 showed up at the dealership While the wait was painful, I have to say the buying (actually leasing) experience was totally painless. We negotiated the deal when I ordered, and they actually gave me a loaner to use when the car was about a week out as I'd already sold my car and my wife was back in the country so I couldn't use her truck.
After three days and a couple hundred miles (short road trip the last two days) I'm totally impressed by the vehicle and am glad I ordered exactly what I wanted. It really is a great combination of fun and functional. My music gear fits in the back, and it goes where I point it.
