I'm keeping the stock tips on our 128i (Montego Blue), but I just think the black chrome tips are a better match for Mineral Grey.

I wonder how the chrome M tips perform. The stainless/burnt tip on my S2000 exhaust still looks like new with absolutely no maintenance (the pics are my exhaust but not my car...I purchased the demo exhaust):
