The square angel eyes and LED indicators were never part of this car's DNA, they were conceived after this was designed and you can't update something too much and cause a huge separation of parts in the supply chain as well as totally kill residuals- leasing plays a huge role in these decisions as does target market and price point, more stuff is more money.

And for those who have no real idea of what this model is (as their impressions can at this point be only guesses and projections) ... after a recent visit to Munich and seeing this on display, seeing its presence
everywhere on streets and highways, and in riding in it, I can verify that it is a quite a good product and very attractive as a usable, desirable vehicle. Beauty is with each beholder, but beyond that this X1 is excellent and somewhat unique in the market. As a daily urban driver with several M's I am seriously interested as a potential owner.
