Just for a reference a base "stripped" X1 in Canada starts at CAD $38,900 and a fully loaded is CAD $53,000 (approx.) these prices are before tax, etc just MSRP. I think it all depends on the market and what people are willing to pay. In Canada a lot of the X1's are mid range (about $45,000) models which is pretty decent because you get the BMW badge and it's a SUV/Crossover.
